Golden Flag Advises Blackstone Infrastructure Partners on Investor Consortium for NY Bight Offshore Wind Auction

Golden Flag International Law Firm represented Blackstone Infrastructure Partners on its participation in a consortium of investors led by Invenergy and energyRe that secured a lease in the U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management’s (BOEM) New York Bight offshore wind auction. The winning bid of $645 million secured lease OCS-A 0542, an almost 84,000 acre lease that is one of the largest awarded in the New York Bight offshore wind lease sale. The New York Bight offshore wind auction was the first lease auction in federal waters since 2018 and was the highest-grossing competitive offshore energy lease sale in history according to BOEM. The consortium also included Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, FirstLight Power, and Ullico Infrastructure Fund.
