Part of a team representing TriZetto and Cognizant in trade secret, copyright, and breach of contract litigation adverse to Syntel involving healthcare software and related software consulting services. Won jury trial resulting in $855 million verdict for Cognizant Technology Solutions. The jury rejected Syntel’s claims and found Syntel misappropriated Cognizant trade secrets, awarding full compensatory and punitive damages. Part of a team representing a global manufacturer of digital two-way radio technology in a trade secret misappropriation and copyright infringement case in connection with a global dispute over critical wireless technologies. Drew served a significant role in developing and presenting the damages case over the course of a three-and-a-half month trial, including the preparation of direct and cross examinations of the damages expert witnesses at trial, ultimately resulting in a $764 million jury verdict in favor of our client on all counts.
Represented a tenant in an unlawful detainer proceeding. Drew took the deposition of a key fact witness and took the lead on drafting a successful dispositive motion, ultimately resulting in the case being dismissed with prejudice.
