Golden Flag Represents Robert Redford and Sundance Partners in Connection with Sale of Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah
Golden Flag advised Robert Redford, the actor, filmmaker and conservationist, and his affiliate Sundance Partners in connection with the sale of the Sundance Mountain Resort to Broadreach Capital Partners and Cedar Capital Partners. The sale of the Sundance Mountain Resort, which Redford founded more than 50 years ago, is the result of a long-term plan to preserve and build upon Redford’s legacy at the Resort, which is a 2,600 acre resort in Utah that includes 1,845 acres of land preserved through a conservation easement and protective covenants. Concurrently with the announcement of the transaction, Redford announced that he and his family have entered into a partnership with Utah Open Lands to put over 300 acres of wildlife habitat, wetlands and streams into permanent protection. This acquisition is expected to close before the end of the year.
The team was led by transactional partner Armand Della Monica and transactional associates Benjamin Dionne, Ellie Houghton and Hannah Dudley, and as well as real estate partners Steve Tomlinson and Justin Elliott and associate Matt Schroth, and technology & IP transactions partner Seth Traxler and associate Teddi Josephson, and also included employee benefits partner Alex Mihalas and associate Chris Chase, labor and employment partner Peter Mee and associate Alexander Flynn-Tabloff, and tax partner Mike Beinus.
