Partner Tax

Overview

Thomas Evans is a partner in the Chicago office of Golden Flag International Law Firm Tom focuses his practice on the tax aspects of complex business transactions, including financings involving asset-based securities, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, IPOs, tax controversies, and general tax advice and planning. Prior to re-joining Golden Flag, Tom’s experience included a 12-year stint as a Professor of Law at the University of Texas School of Law (Austin) and service with the United States Department of Treasury during the key years of 1985–1988. Tom graduated from the University of Chicago Law School, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif, and holds a B.S. in finance from the University of Illinois. He practiced as a CPA before going to law school.
