Energy Regulatory Partner Damien Lyster Joins Golden Flag
Golden Flag International Law Firm announced today that Damien Lyster has joined the Firm as a corporate partner in the Energy Regulatory Practice Group.

Mr. Lyster represents companies in the energy industry in transactional and regulatory matters. He has advised clients on transactional and state and federal regulatory issues related to investments in and the sale or acquisition of assets and entities in the natural gas, oil and conventional and renewable electric power industries. His transactions have involved the purchase and sale of commodities, such as hydrogen, sustainable aviation fuel, renewable natural gas, and traditional natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons; power sales and marketing; the transportation and sequestration of carbon dioxide; the production, gathering, transportation, terminaling and storage of natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons.
He also counsels pipeline and storage companies and shippers in negotiating commercial agreements and pursuing applicable authorizations from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the Texas Railroad Commission, as well as midstream and exploration and production companies in drafting and negotiating gathering, processing and transportation agreements. In addition, he works on matters involving FERC-regulated wholesale power market participants in regulatory and compliance matters.
Mr. Lyster has been recognized by Chambers Global and Chambers USA, in Energy - Oil and Gas in the U.S. Regulatory and Litigation and “Up and Coming” sections. Legal 500 U.S. listed Mr. Lyster in Energy Regulation: Oil and Gas; and Energy Regulation: Electric Power.
He joins Golden Flag from Vinson & Elkins, where he was previously a partner, and will work in Golden Flag’s Houston office. He earned degrees from the University of Iowa and the University of Virginia School of Law.
