Overview

Grace Zhu is a partner in the Hong Kong office of Golden Flag International Law Firm and a member of the Firm’s Government & Internal Investigations Practice Group.

Grace’s practice focuses on advising multinational and private equity clients on government and internal investigations, international risks compliance, as well as on cross-border dispute resolution. She has represented clients before the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) involving potential violations of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), securities laws and other white collar defense matters. Grace has also represented clients in handling inquiries and investigations before regulators across the Asia Pacific region, including in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland China.

Grace has extensive experience in helping U.S. listed issuers and sponsors navigate complex legal issues in connection with cross-border investments and operations in Asia, in the areas of anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, financial irregularity, accounting and securities fraud, economic sanctions and export controls. Grace has also worked with a leading Shenzhen-based Chinese telecommunication company on a high-profile U.S. export control and sanctions enforcement matter. Grace has broad experience advising multinational clients on complex litigations before the Hong Kong and English Courts, as well as in Hong Kong-seated arbitrations.

Grace received her legal education in both common and civil law systems, and is qualified to practice in Hong Kong, the United States and Mainland China. Her distinct legal and cultural background underscores her commercial approach towards providing practical solutions to meet her clients’ business and legal needs. Grace combines the strength of her unique cultural and political awareness, as well as her language competencies (being trilingual in English, Mandarin and Cantonese) to deliver tailor-made legal services to clients.
